Sabine Gaedeke Stener, CEO
Sabine Gaedeke Stener oversees the operations of Gaedeke Group as well as the oil and gas investments and activities of Gaedeke Energy and Gaedeke Holdings, Ltd. Prior to founding Gaedeke Group, Ms. Stener served as the director of marketing for a major division of Bertelsmann AG, one of the world's largest international multimedia companies. Ms. Stener received her post-graduate degrees in marketing, psychology, and international management from the University of Hamburg, Germany.
David C. Myers, President
David C. Myers joined Gaedeke Energy in December, 2019 and is responsible for the overall management of the company’s energy portfolio. Between 2018 and 2000, Mr. Myers was a co-founder and executive officer of three private equity funded companies and their affiliates: Cisco Energy, LLC; Grayhawk Energy, Inc; and Cortez Oil & Gas, Inc. Prior to forming Cortez, Mr. Myers, served in a variety of management and engineering roles with Westland Oil Development Corporation and Arco Oil and Gas Company. Mr. Myers received his B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982 and his M.B.A. from the University of Houston in 1987.
Sloan A. Clayton, CFO
Sloan A. Clayton was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Gaedeke Energy in April 2019. Prior to joining Gaedeke Energy, Mr. Clayton served as a Director at Southcross Energy Partners, LP since 2014. He began his career at Ernst & Young and has since held positions at various companies with experience in a variety of financial and accounting functions, including transaction due diligence, SEC reporting, corporate accounting, tax, restructurings and credit compliance in both the upstream and midstream energy sectors. Mr. Clayton is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Master of Science in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
Julie E. Lennon, General Counsel
Julie E. Lennon serves as General Counsel to Gaedeke Group. Ms. Lennon joined Gaedeke Group in January 2010. She is a former partner with the international law firm, K&L Gates, LLP, representing both private and publicly held companies during a twelve-year career with the firm. Ms. Lennon's practice has been focused on commercial real estate and oil & gas transactions. Ms. Lennon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Juris Doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University, and a Master of Laws degree from New York University. She is admitted to practice law in Texas and Mississippi.
Virginia Urban Light, Vice President, Reservoir Engineering and Evaluations
Before joining the Gaedeke Energy team in 2014, Virginia Light was a Project Engineer at DeGolyer and MacNaughton (D&M). While at D&M, she worked in the firm’s Central Europe and Asia Division, specializing in the estimation and appraisal of reserves in Russia and the countries of the former Soviet Union. Prior to joining D&M, Mrs. Light practiced law as an oil and gas title attorney. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering as well as a Minor in Dance from Texas A&M University. Mrs. Light received her Juris Doctorate degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law and is a licensed attorney admitted to the State Bar of Texas.
Robyn Athas, Controller
Robyn Athas joined Gaedeke Energy in 2012 as Controller. Robyn has more than 20 years of oil and gas accounting experience. Her career started at Coopers & Lybrand (now known as PwC) in Tulsa, OK. Since leaving public accounting, Robyn’s accounting experience has included financial reporting, treasury management, production reporting management, acquisitions, divestitures and various other accounting responsibilities. Robyn currently oversees the accounting for Gaedeke Energy’s North Dakota assets. Ms. Athas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Oklahoma State University. Robyn is a Texas licensed Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Dallas society of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies.
Bruce Harman, Harman & Sons, Inc. Operations Contractor
Bruce Harman is the principal of Harman & Sons, Inc. Mr. Harman has been in the oil and gas business for over 40 years. He worked his way up through the industry, eventually serving as owner/operator of his own drilling company, which he sold in 1992. He has successfully managed many exploration and drilling projects, including vertical and horizontal wells, and has a solid track record of keeping drilling times low and project costs in check.
